PROJECT: Conducted data analysis of pedestrians’ observations while walking in two Memphis neighborhoods, the University District and Victorian Village. The purpose of the analysis was to determine the factors residents made for walking and make recommendations for streetscape improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Created template and matrix to use for analysis, developed additional research questions, and recommendations. Researched historic context of neighborhood for potential wayfinding and narrative panels. Provided hand sketches for use in a Transit and Connectivity policy document as well as visuals for grant applications, while coordinating efforts with stakeholders and the city’s bike/ped coordinator.
